So, tapping your foot in the bathroom is a signal. Good to know. Of course, I am now more worried about using public facilities than I used to be, which is saying something. Good heavens, how many signals have I unknowingly sent out over the years? And how do people know what the signals are? Are these things decided at meetings? If not for the fact that the senator already pleaded guilty( to a lesser offense) I might have believed his denials. But seeing as the rest of the Republicans are ready to tar and feather him, and as I read how in the past he was accused of non-republican sexual activities, I find it more and more difficult to believe Senator Craig. While I am somewhat happy at the prospect of the democrats picking up another senate seat, I have to wonder if the democrats trying to woo the faithful will not faulter in a similar way. That is the inherent danger of such ripe hypocrisy, before too long, it will be someone else’s turn at the gallows of public opinion. Not that representatives should not be held accountable for their actions, but I would much rather have them held accountable for their numerous mistakes as representatives than their mistakes as people. Of course, mistakes that are this hypocritical are hard to miss.
