Proposition H8 Upheld, Christian Taliban Win In CA.

This decision was not a surprise, most believed the court would rule in favor of banning marriage for couples that religion doesn’t like.  And this is what this boils down to, the proposition cannot cite any actual danger or how allowing 2 consenting adults to marry would be bad, other than in their tiny minds.

What is strange is that any couple married before Proposition (H)8 passed will still be considered legally married, which to me seems insane that the court would continue to recognize group (A) as being married, but group (B) cannot get married because now the proposition passed.  It is like a time limit was placed on reality, and now we must all go back to pretending that a minority should not be allowed equal rights because the Bible tells us so.

I cannot understand what business it would be of mine or anyone else not involved with the marriage itself, what 2 consenting adults decided they wanted.  And as other states realize what century it is, allowing marriage for others seems to be more acceptable, except of course here in California.  The red states, ignorant as ever, keep casting California as some sort of liberal-hippy commune, apparently unaware of the large number of conservatives within it.  But this is not really surprising, since the conservatives in other states only know what their preacher tells them.  Oh, I’m sorry, is that statement unfair and prejudicial?  Too F**king bad.
