If it is true that Iran is supplying arms or even just money to insurgents in Yemen, I cannot help but think that this may be an issue to use against them as talks about their nuclear program seem to just go nowhere. Or more precisely, one day they seem O.K. with having foreign governments enrich uranium for them, and then their split personality steps in and rethinks such plans.
I suppose proving direct assistance from the government of Iran to the rebels is not likely to happen, but insinuation can sometimes get the job done. As the Sunni and Shia sects continue to back their favorites, hopefully a more widespread battle will not ensue. As to why the Houthi rebels would bother to attack Saudi Arabia when they are having a difficult enough time fighting the government of Yemen, well that just seems as if they are asking for trouble. As so often happens, the choice of whom to fight and why is made without any reasonable line of thought whatsoever.
